Happy Friday Eve! I remember being a kid and the anticipation of waking up on Christmas Day knowing there was a pile of presents waiting to be opened. I also remember the disappointment I felt when I opened up the gift addressed from Santa, only to see an unbelievably gaudy, ugly Christmas sweater in the box. I questioned the sanity of Santa at the time because who in their right mind would buy such a hideous sweater?! Little did I know that Santa was a fashionista way before his time. Ugly Christmas sweaters have made quite a comeback these last few years. So next time you get an ugly sweater as a gift, keep it this time instead of re-gifting.
No need to skip that Ugly Christmas Sweater party because it’s too much of a hassle to decorate a sweater. Target has inexpensive ugly sweaters that are actually really cute and fit well for the entire family. I love how target is a one stop shop for all things holiday. Plus right now Target is doing BOGO (buy one get one free) for children’s clothing!
Looking great will be such a breeze with this these inexpensive but stylish Christmas sweaters. These soft cotton-blend sweaters are perfect for staying cozy and festive during the holiday season. Whether you’re decorating gingerbread houses, wrapping presents or showing it off at an ugly Christmas sweater party, this adorable sweater will make the perfect comfy cold-weather look.
My sister’s “OH SNAP” sweater + My BAH HUMPUG sweater
My sister Vanessa and I both like oversized and comfy fitting sweaters. I’d say most of the adult sweaters we tried on ran a lot smaller than we thought. For a “normal fit”, I would recommend going up one size. If your looking for an oversized / cozy fit I’d go two sizes up. For reference I’m 5’3 and typically wear an XS – in this sweater I’m wearing a Large. My sister is 5’5 and normally wears a Medium and she’s wearing a size XL in her sweater.
My rule of thumb with wearing a tacky Christmas sweater is to pair it with items that you feel confident in. For me, that means pairing it with stylish separates that I would usually wear during the holidays anyway. A good example would be these skinny high waist jeans and booties.
