(I had to post this picture – Stella is ALWAYS photobombing me – haha!)
Happy 2018! I hope you had a wonderful holiday with friends & family. I want to start this post by saying how grateful I am for each of you. A few months ago (October 2017), I decided to begin my journey as a blogger and take a step back from the other company I built/own. I was very secure in life with the business I had created back in 2006 and absolutely loved what I did for a living. However, for a few years now, I just felt like there was something more out there for me, and I knew I just had to push myself and go for it. The past few months have been, hands down, the happiest months I’ve had in years. I truly mean this when I say I wouldn’t of been able to start this new journey had it not been for all your positivity and support! You might not think it means anything, but every single like, comment, text, and direct message I receive means a lot! It allows me to continue to blog and share the things I’m passionate about with you. Thank you for helping me make 2017 a year I’ll always remember!

It has been extremely cold here Arlington for a couple of days now – I mean remarkably cold! I purchased a few coats in December and I’m really happy that I finally get to wear them. This speckled boucle lodge coat from J.Crew being one of my favorites. The coat keeps me nice and warm + has a nice lining around the wrists and neck, which helps avoid any itchiness I sometimes find with wool coats. It hits at a nice length that covers the butt and doesn’t look too bulky. What makes this coat warm is the quilted interior with super-fill fabric and another added bonus is it’s water resistant. The black and white color makes this coat easy to wear with anything this winter + can be thrown on top of SO many basic outfits.
It’s on sale for 40% OFF today with code: NEWYEAR
For reference I’m 5’3” and usually wear a size 0/XS in J Crew clothing. I bought this in a 2 to have room for layering sweaters underneath. The sleeves are perfect length, not too long at all. Let me know what you think about this coat by leaving a comment below. Thank you for stopping my Gracefully So!
